Summer is quickly approaching – or maybe it’s already here. Today’s sunny-and-80-degrees attitude makes it hard to tell.
This morning I began craving something sweet, flavorful, and tea-ish. When I stumbled upon a can of sweetened condensed milk in my cabinet, I knew right away what the answer was!
Chai is beyond easy to make.
The recipe? One can of sweetened condensed milk and one tablespoon of chai spice mixed together. Add one steaming cup of your favorite hot tea and you’ve got a match made in heaven.
Today though, since it was hot and sunny out I decided to iced down my chai. I used a double strength cup of Windsor Castle black tea as the base for my chai sauce. I made sure I mixed my chai sauce into the hot tea first. (Adding sweetened condensed milk to something cold means it doesn’t incorporate well.)
After I mixed everything together well, I filled the rest of my glass up with ice. And that was it! Crazy simple and very, very satisfying!
